Doctored and undoctored versions of: The Deer, Greenwich Park Other versions of the same image |
By comparing the printed and photographic versions of this card, it becomes obvious that somewhat bizarrely, Flamsteed House has been ‘photoshopped’ out and replaced with an oversized version from another negative with a different viewpoint. One can only assume that David Ramzen was unaware of this when the image was selected for the cover of his book Royal Greenwich through time. In earlier photographic versions (such as this one), the right-hand turret has had a Time Ball inked in above it. |
