Believed to have been produced by adding colour to a black & white image, those responsible for the card’s production made two serious colouring errors. Firstly, the time ball was coloured black instead of red. Secondly, the gravel in the courtyard was assumed to be grass and coloured green. © F. Frith & Co., Ltd.
