About: Published in Black and White Budget, pp.786–788. The author, who is remembered today as a local historian and photograher, was living just a mile from the Observatory in Deptford when this short account was published. The photgraphs were taken by the Author and include one of the Magnetic Observatory (taken prior to 31 March 1900) and three of the instruments inside it.
